Members First Unity Slate Condemns Columbia University’s Retaliation Against UAW Local 2710 President Grant Miner
In yet another brazen assault on the First Amendment and workers’ rights, Columbia University has fired and expelled Grant Miner, President of UAW Local 2710, just one day before contract negotiations were set to begin. This transparent act of retaliation is an attack not just on Miner, but on all workers who dare to organize and demand fair treatment.

The Members First Unity Slate stands for democracy, transparency, and accountability to all members.
We have long recognized that 1199 was headed in the wrong direction—but these disturbing allegations of financial mismanagement, combined with prior misconduct, leave no doubt. 1199 members deserve better. YOU deserve better.
This election is our chance to reclaim our union. Together, we will restore trust, transparency, and integrity to 1199.

Setting the Record Straight on our BENEFITS
We see it’s time to set the record straight again, because our opposition is committed to spreading lies. The Members First Unity Slate is 100% committed to maintaining all of your benefits.

In Defense of Our Union: No One is Above the Constitution
To Our 1199SEIU Family,
As elected officers, we have a duty to uphold the Constitution of our Union and serve the interests of our members. That duty requires us to come together, make decisions, and take action on the urgent challenges facing working people today.

1199 is at a Crossroads - WE MUST ACT NOW!
Every three years, we decide the future of our union.
This April, vote for leadership that puts members first. Vote Yvonne Armstrong, Veronica Turner-Biggs, and the entire Members First Unity Slate.
